Fataima loves creating organic balloon decor, and prides herself on working closely with each client to make every event special with one-of-a-kind balloons. She has trained with internationally known balloon decorators, and is a Certified Balloon Artist (CBA). Balloon Zoom started as party business founded by Fataima's three daughters, Anna, Leila and Noor. When the three began twisting balloons, they wanted to build a business that was not only fun, but also gave back to their community. They have donated their balloon art to Janney Elementary, Alice Deal Middle and Woodrow Wilson High schools, and locally-based Prana for Preemies, purchased coats for Washington, DC, children in need, and groceries for refugee families building new lives in our area.
Anna is now a freshman at The Ohio State University. Leila and Noor contract with Balloon Zoom as their schedules permit.
Leila, 16, was a the driving force behind Balloon Zoom's first charitable project: donating goats, chickens, ducks and goslings to families in need through Heifer International.
Today, Leila works for Tenleytown MainStreet, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building the small business community in her neighborhood. She remains involved with Balloon Zoom as an independent contractor.
Noor, 14, built Balloon Zoom's first column frames at the age of 5. She continues to contract with Balloon Zoom when the company needs experienced hands to build balloon arches or put up an organic balloon wall.
Noor's solo venture, a socially responsible toy company (Imagine Plush LLC) she started as a middle school student, sold limited edition plush bees she designed and manufactured to support her official partner, the Pollinator Partnership. Although her bees have sold out, a few may still be available at Barstons Child's Play, Sullivan's Toys, Anglo Dutch Pools & Toys, American Plant (Bethesda), Suburban Hospital, and Sibley Hospital in the Washington, D.C. area; Franklins in Hyattsville, MD, and The Bee Store in Woodbridge, VA; The Savannah Bee Company in Savannah, GA; and through Mann Lake, one of the largest beekeeping supply companies in the country. To learn more, visit Imagine Plush, or follow Noor on Instagram or Facebook.
Anna, 18, a Balloon Zoom founder who created many of our most popular designs, is a biology major at The Ohio State University.
